A STEM app for girls works when a girl opens it and sees herself as the hero. Code SHEROs is a coding and STEM app for girls aged 7 to 12, built in Zambia, where the heroes are African girls: Byte the problem solver, Pixel the creator, and Nova the explorer. Girls write real HTML and CSS to complete story missions, defeat Dr. Glitch's code bugs, and build web pages they can show off.
Everything is designed for how kids actually have access to technology here: it runs on Android and the web, coding is tap-first on phones, and lessons are short enough for a borrowed device and a busy evening.

- Story worlds: World 1, The Broken Internet, has seven missions ending in a boss battle, with Creative Island and the Green Guardian Grid on the way.
- Three Academy tracks: Byte's Code Lab, Pixel's Design Studio, and Nova's Workshop, covering HTML, CSS, logic, and robotics thinking.
- Real code, kid-sized: tap-to-build code pieces, tap-to-fix bug hunts, and a real editor with smart code keys when she's ready to type.
